Ahri is in S-tier because her well-timed charm flips an entire teamfight and her mobility makes any attempt at punishment very complicated. Zed is here for those who like to snowball hard and tilt opposing ADCs by one-shotting them from an improbable angle. Akali is the pick for players who want to feel like they are playing a game different from others. At the bottom of the ranking Ryze and Azir who require a lot of mastery for a sometimes disappointing result in solo tail.

Ahri, Zed, Akali, Sylas, Yone, Lissandra, Vex are clearly above the rest at the moment. If you want to win games without too much hassle, start there.

D-Tier: to avoid in ranked

Ryze, Azir, Irelia, Kassadin. Not necessarily bad in themselves, just not adapted to the current meta. For normal games, no problem.

A
Orianna, Viktor, Syndra, Fizz, Katarina, Lux, LeBlanc, Talon Very solid, slightly below S-tier but perfectly viable in ranked.
B
Annie, Galio, Cassiopeia, Malzahar, Brand, Veigar, Ekko, Swain Correct if you master them. Not the strongest picks but not bad either.
C
Twisted Fate, Corki, Aurelion Sol, Pantheon, Qiyana, Zoe Situational. It can work in certain compositions but you have to know what you are doing.
