Patch 16.13 LoL: Locke arrives, new skins and meta
League of Legends patch 16.13 introduces Locke, an assassin-mage from Demacia, accompanied by two new skin lines. We summarize the essentials for you to arrive prepared for ranked.
The new champion: Locke, the Ashen Exorcist

Locke arrives on the Rift with a rare identity: a assassin-mage came from Demacia, heir to a line of occultists. Where Demacia is wary of magic, he wields it in his own way, with his ritual nails and a disturbing conviction: demons do not create the darkness of men, they reveal it.
In game, it consumes mana and mixes the burst of an assassin with the reach of a mage. A hybrid profile that can quickly become a nightmare to manage in solo queue.

Balancing and impact on the meta
Mid-season patch requires, Riot continues to adjust the Rift. The arrival of an assassin-mage like Locke will inevitably weigh on the mid meta and on the way we manage compositions with high magic pressure.
Our advice: before meeting him in ranked, take the time to understand his damage pattern to know when he becomes dangerous.
